Okay, this took awhile to post but I am finally getting it up! While working on wire-wrapping the Angelic Rune pendant from The Mortal Instruments series, I got pretty frustrated and needed to take a breather. I looked up different methods of wire-wrapping jewellery and came across a really simple, easy-to-follow wire-wrapped ring tutorial. Using my natural gemstone beads, I gave it a shot and I love the results!
I used black coated aluminium wire to create the rings. Here are the six rings in single close-ups:
I had such a fun time making the rings! There is something very therapeutic about twisting and molding the wire over the gemstones. Also, I love how the black coated wire makes such a stark contrast with the gemstones! They just pop!
If you want to try creating your own wire-wrapped rings, here is the video! It is really simple and easy to follow – you just need to make sure you get the tools!
As for the rings I made, I am selling these at an introductory rate as it’s my first time creating the rings. Click HERE for the listing!
Crafting these rings has really brought back my love of wire-wrapping. I can’t wait to do more of these!
